    20 venues from across the world were announced as winners in the Prestigious Star Awards 2016 on Friday evening at 20 Cavendish Square in London. Winning venues included Hampton Court Palace, The Waldorf Astoria New York, Dusit Thani Maldives, Gran Meliá Rome, Royal Mansour Marrakech and more. The awards ceremony was a mix of thought leadership and celebration, featuring speakers from notable international venues: Petroff Palace Moscow, Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, Kensington Palace, Hard Rock Hotels and Cornelia Hotels. As the only global luxury venue awards, every year the program celebrates the quality, performance and reputation of the world’s best venues qualified to host the most memorable events.

    The 20 winning venues in the Prestigious Star Awards 2016 were announced at 20 Cavendish Square on Friday 16th September in London. From a shortlist of 2,000 global venues reviewed throughout the year, 200 were nominated in the awards and only 20 were crowned as winners. Nominated venues were voted for by event bookers in July when 3 finalist venues were shortlisted in each category. An in-depth review by Prestigious Venues global ambassadors, venue specialists and event planners in August then led to 20 winning venues.

    The invitation-only awards evening on the 16th September brought together the Prestigious Venues Top 100, including senior representatives from distinguished international venues, selected clients, corporate partners, prestigious event suppliers, and VIPs from the Prestigious Venues network. The Prestigious Star Awards celebrate the quality, performance and reputation of the world’s best venues qualified to host the most memorable events. Now in their seventh year, the program remains the only global luxury venue industry awards - renowned for identifying the world's most distinguished venues.

    The public is invited to vote in Prestigious Star Awards 2016 to determine the world's best venues. Over 2,000 reputable venues have been reviewed, leading to 200 nominations shortlisted for the program. Voting during July will determine the top 3 venues in each of the 20 awards categories and all the 60 finalists will then be announced in August. The 20 winning venues will be revealed during the awards ceremony on the 16th of September at 20 Cavendish Square in London.

    200 venues have been qualified among the most comprehensive review of 2,000 venues worldwide. This year, the voting process will determine the Top 100 Venues, Top 60 Finalist Venues, Top 20 Highly Commended Venues and finally the Top 20 Winning Venues worldwide. Now in its seventh year, the program is the industry's only global luxury venue awards. The public is invited to vote in Prestigious Star Awards 2016 to determine the world's best venues.     Villa Pliniana now available to the public for the first time in more than 400 years - a magnificent private villa for events on the shores of Lake Como.

    For the first time in more than 400 years Villa Pliniana on Italy's Lake Como is now available to host both private and corporate events. A private residence since 1573, this dramatic waterfront venue has entertained notable figures including Napoleon, Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, Franz Listz and Gioachino Rossini.

    The owners have restored the villa to its former splendour through dedicated conservation works, which combined the preservation of the original structure with architectonic solutions. Located in a quiet bay, on the eastern border of the city of Torno, Villa Pliniana’s rich and vibrant history lives on in its stately architecture and palatial interiors.

    Set in 18 acres of gardens, this private villa has 19 luxurious bedrooms in four large apartments as well as three additional standalone villas. All accommodation features en-suite marble bathrooms, luxurious furnishings, water views and the latest in modern facilities. The venue’s picturesque waterfront gardens can accommodate up to 400 guests for outdoor events such as weddings and gala dinners, while its two grand ballrooms can seat up to 200 guests.

The evening began with the 'Creative Platform' where selected venues presented one of their most successful corporate or private events. These included a star studded tennis tournament on Necker Island, a full scale mini music festival at Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds, a 24 hour team building session at Thornbury Castle and The Global Education Forum held at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai. The celebrations were amplified with a live orchestra, pop up vintage stage performances, as well as awards cupcakes and a full size edible awards trophy.

  • World’s Top 3 Venues As Voted For By The Public

    The top 3 venues in each of the Prestigious Star Awards 2015 categories have now been announced. Nominees were voted for by the public, during the online voting period taking place in July. There will be an in-depth review and election by the Prestigious Venues global ambassadors before the 20 winning venues are announced at the awards ceremony in London on September 18th.

    The finalists in the Prestigious Star Awards 2015 were announced today in London. From a long list of over 2,000 global venues, to a shortlist of 200 nominees, the top 3 venues in each category have now been revealed. Nominees have been voted for by the public, during the online voting period in July. The next stage in the process is an in-depth review and election by the Prestigious Venues global ambassadors panel. Winners will then be announced at the annual awards ceremony in London on September 18th.

    The invitation-only awards ceremony on the 18th of September is hosted by Prestigious Venues at private members club the Oriental Club, in London.   • David Cameron Praises Prestigious Star Awards Nominee

    British Prime Minister, David Cameron praised the nomination of an English mansion in the global venue recognition program, Prestigious Star Awards. As the only global luxury venue awards program, over 2,000 reputable venues apply to enter, up to a tenth are nominated and only 20 venues are crowned with a 'Prestigious Star'.

    British Prime Minister, David Cameron commented on the nomination of Eynsham Hall in the ‘Most Prestigious Romantic Venue’ category in the Oxford Mail saying “It is great to see West Oxfordshire businesses once again leading the way, with Eynsham Hall taking its place alongside venues across the world.”


    Prestigious Star Awards determine the world's top 20 venues each year. As the only global luxury venue awards program, over 2,000 reputable venues apply to enter and up to a tenth are nominated.
